ATCHAYAM HOME (Rehabilitation Home for Homeless Elderly, Persons Engaged in Begging, Person with disabilities & Person with Mental Illness),
Designed as a model center for holistic rehabilitation, the Integrated Home at Nasiyanoor is Atchayam Trust’s flagship project, providing comprehensive, inclusive and long-term support for all categories of homeless vulnerable individuals under one roof—including the elderly, persons engaged in begging, destitute, persons with disabilities and persons with mental illness.
Key Features
- Multi-ward residential units categorized by need (elderly, mentally ill, persons with disabilities, etc.)
- 24x7 in-house medical care with visiting doctors and psychiatric consultants
- Mobility aids, physiotherapy and inclusive infrastructure for comfort and independence
- Occupational therapy and personal development sessions
- Dedicated vocational training and micro-enterprise units for skill-building and livelihood support
- Organic kitchen garden, herbal plantation, and community farming for emotional healing , sustainable living and beneficiary involvement.
- Family tracing and reintegration support in collaboration with local bodies
- A Research & Excellence Centre to train other NGOs and institutions on effective rehabilitation models
- Event and interaction spaces for community engagement and volunteer involvement.
